Council to discuss municipal judge, Covidien

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – The Commerce City Council begins Tuesday night the first of its now monthly meetings.

Voters in May approved the switch from two meetings to one, as part of over a dozen changes made to the City's charter. Council still has the option of calling a special meeting at any time, if need be.

Tuesday's agenda includes a consideration to appoint Municipal Judge Demetra Robinson to another term.

Council is also scheduled to approve a proclamation for Covidien Appreciation Week, after the plant recently passed the one million hours mark without an injury, as regulated by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.

Tuesday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Commerce City Hall.
