GREENVILLE -  The move comes two weeks after the county transportation committee and North Central Texas Council of Governments held public forums introducing the plan.

In addition to approving a resolution in favor of the draft, the Greenville City Council recommended the committee’s role be expanded to include promotion and oversight in implanting the plan.

The draft plan covers 183 pages including not only roads but bicycle and air traffic.

The transportation committee and NCTCOG intend to meet with city councils in the county throughout February. The Hunt County Commissioners Court will consider adoption of the plan in March.
