Chiggerfest is just around the corner. The day's schedule for Saturday, October 18 is listed below. The Mighty Marching Cooper ISD Band will be performing at 8:30 a.m. on the Square in front of the City Hall in Cooper. Next at 9 a.m. will be opening ceremonies, National Anthem and awards for the 5K Run/Walk. Then lots of good music the rest of the day.
9:15 until 11:00 Scatter Proof-great band of young people.
11:00 Nathan Alan Toon-country tunes and original tunes of hits.
12:00 Carl Cullum and Tom McCellar-great musician from Paris.
1:00 Trevor Carico-singer/songwriter from Paris area.
2:00 Krissy Green-great vocalist from Roxton
3:00 The famous LiSher Dance group from The Commerce Studios
will perform on the bricks with their famous dance routine.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the day at the 21st Annual Chiggerfest. Start the day with Lions Club Pancake breakfast at the fire station from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk will begin lining up at the Methodist Church and the run will start at 8 a.m.
Don't forget to visit with all the craft and food vendors, the merchants around the square, the Health Fair at the Civic Center, and at 2 p.m. the Little Chigger Beauty Pageant at Civic Center. For all you domino players, there will be a 42 tournament at the Century 21 office beginning at 11a.m. There will be 1st and 2nd place prizes.
The Kids Zone will be available to entertain all the children and the Arts and Craft Show will be in the Chamber Building. The pets have not been left out. The Mobile Pet Grooming unit from Pet Degree Kutz will be at Chiggerfest and will have a Pet Parade around the square around 2 p.m. and will have some awards for some lucky pets.
