County fair gets eariler start

This years Hunt County fair is scheduled to be on April 25 instead of its usual June date.

The gates to the annual Hunt County Fair will be swinging open earlier this year.

After years of being held during the month of June, the 2014 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show, presented by Innovation First, kicks off April 25 and continues through May 4.

With the theme of “Building New Traditions For a Brilliant Future”, tickets will be $8 for adults and $4 for kids. All week passes are $30 for adults and $20 for kids.

The carnival rides are being provided by Happy World and there will be armband specials each night of the Fair.

The Lone Star Garden Tractor Pull will be held the evenings of April 25-26.

There will be a Kids Zone which will include activities like The Great Bear Show, Swifty Swine Pig Races and the Texan’s Petting Zoo.
