Hunt County – Fire has destroyed a mobile home located near the Hunt/Delta County line.
Two men who inhabited the house were able to escape unharmed.
Volunteer Firefighters from Pecan Gap were the first on scene at around 2 p.m. Sunday, but the home was already fully involved. Crews from Cooper and Commerce were also called in to fight the blaze, which lasted about three hours.
"They were in there and one was asleep in one end, one was asleep in the other," said Commerce Fire Chief Brian McNevin. "One of the gentlemen stated that he woke up and his room was on fire and he went down there and got the other gentleman and out they went."
The Red Cross provided rehab for the displaced men.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
