Royse City – The bodies of Dennis and Norma Woodruff were discovered in their Hunt County home Tuesday evening. The couple had been murdered. Police say there was no sign of forced entry and nothing appeared to have been stolen from the residence. The Hunt County Sheriff is looking for possible suspects and a motive in the case.
The Woodruffs had recently moved to the home just northeast of Royse City from Heath. A family member contacted a friend of the couple after not hearing from them for a few days. The friend found the bodies around 5pm Tuesday and contacted police.
Police are not releasing the cause of death in the slayings, but did say it appeared to be a violent death.
The deaths are the 5th and 6th homicides in Hunt County this year.
