Greenville – There will be only one entrance and exit to the Hunt County Courthouse starting today. The ground floor doors on Lee Street will be the only public doors to the building, and a scanner has been placed at the entrance that will not only act as a metal detector, but will also be able to visually locate concealed weapons and other contraband. A picture of each person entering the building will also be archived by the device.
A test last week showed the machine detecting a razor blade heavily wrapped in electrical tape and showing the location of the blade no matter where it was hidden.
