Creepy, cool sounds from Houston's Two Star Symphony

Members of Two Star Symphony strive to bring modern instrumental music to new audiences, writing and performing unique, dark ethereal soundscapes which are ideal for a film soundtrack.

Violinists Debra Brown and Jerry Ochoa called in to Notably Texan, leading up to the group's gig on Saturday night at a former mortuary in Greenville. Topics include details on Two Star Symphony's songwriting process, their aspirations, and more.

Find out more about the group at the Two Star Symphony website.

Notably Texan is heard weekdays from Noon-3 on KETR, and Saturday nights 7 to midnight.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
