Project plans for the new Music Building at Texas A&M University-Commerce continue to move forward. Associate Professor of Music and Department Head Chris White says crews are nearing completion of the schematic design phase, where the overall layout of the buildings structure and dimensions are composed. They're now in the early stages of actually designing each room's specific features, a phase called design documents.

Once the second design phase is complete, crews can begin the third and final stage of construction documents. During this phase, all drawings and component specifications will be finalized. White hopes to be breaking group by May.
