Crime up in Greenville

Greenville – A recent report shows a sharp increase in crime in Greenville. Significant increases were reported in July in most major crime categories when compared to the same month one year ago. Overall, there were 246 Part One crimes homicides, forcible rapes, robberies, assaults, burglaries, thefts and automobile thefts recorded locally during July, representing an increase of 27.4 percent from July 2007.
