Lamar County – Lamar County Crime Stoppers has been hard at work this year, as indicated by a recent report.
Information released by the organization shows a total of 133 suspects has been arrested and 192 tips have been received so far this year. Lamar County Crime Stoppers also issued over $16,000 in rewards to area citizens, plus recovered more than $34,000 in drugs and stolen property.
Crime Stoppers is a community policing agency that encourages crime tips by telephone from the public. Individuals can remain anonymous and can receive up to $1,000 for their help.
