Dallas broadcaster to speak on A&M-Commerce campus

Commerce – Former newsman Eddie Barker, who was the first to report the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on national television, is scheduled to speak on the A&M-Commerce campus tomorrow. Barker co-authored the book Eddie Barker's Notebook with A&M-Commerce Radio/Television instructor Dr. John Mark Dempsey. He will speak at 12:30 tomorrow on the first floor of Gee Library on campus.

Barkers will speak about his experience reporting on the Kennedy assassination and his life as part of the Dallas media. Refreshments will be served and books will be signed by both Barker and Dempsey.
