Dallas Wings Fly Past the Atlanta Dream, 101-78 (Slideshow)

The Dallas Wings (1-1) defeated the Atlanta Dream (0-1), 101-78, as they hosted their home opener Sunday in the College Park Center. Dallas was explosive in the second quarter scoring 37 points and dominating on rebounds. Five Wings players scored in double-digits to secure the blowout win, giving the Dream its first loss of the season.

The Wings were led by their new dynamic duo, All-Star guard Skylar Diggins-Smith and center Liz Cambage. Diggins-Smith dominated with a game-high 25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Cambage continues to make her presence felt posting 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. In her second year, guard Kaela Davis came off the bench scoring 15 points and a career-high 5 assists.

After sitting out last season to rest, All-Star forward Angel McCoughtry led the Dream with 13 points and notched her 5,000th career point.

The Wings now look ahead to their upcoming road stretch, starting May 23rd against defending WNBA champions, the Minnesota Lynx.
