Davila-Rodriguez Found Guilty, Awaits Sentencing

GREENVILLE - The Hunt County jury deliberated roughly 40 minutes before returning the guilty verdict Thursday in connection to the 2010 shootout in Greenville.

Davila-Rodriguez faces up to life in prison upon sentencing.

He was alleged to have fired upon officers with the Greenville Police Department and to have shot and slightly wounded another man on Texas Street in July 2010. Prosecutors proceeded on only one count of aggravated assault against Office Adam Phillips.

The same case resulted in a mistrial in February.
