Greenville – Trial begins today in connection to a reported aggravated assault in Greenville. John D. Davis has pleaded not guilty.
Jury selection is scheduled for Wednesday.
He's alleged in September 2008 to have injured a male victim in Greenville with a razor blade. David was arrested in May 2009.
Seven witnesses have been subpoenaed by the prosecution to testify during the trial.
Records show Davis has four previous felony convictions on his record, including two for assault causing bodily injury to a public servant in 2000, aggravated assault against a peace officer in 1995 and burglary in 1973.
