For the month of love, Delta Hope House will be hosting a Chili/Stew and silent auction fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 5-7 p.m. at the Delta County Civic Center. The proceeds will assist in the weekly functions of the local food pantry.
In 2014, Delta Hope House relocated. This food pantry at 440 SW 3rd street in Cooper, is run by community volunteers. Groceries for the pantry are provided by the North Texas Food Bank and local donations.
Service hours are 9 a.m. - noon every Thursday, and from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every fourth Tuesday. Qualified persons are allowed to pick up groceries once each month.
