Dismantling Racism in Hunt County

Dealing with racism will be the subject of a public meeting in Greenville this evening.

The specter of racism and how it can be addressed on a local level is the subject of a public meeting this evening. “Dismantling Racism” is the theme of the program being presented by the Anti-Racism team of the United Methodist Church.

It is co-sponsored by the Corporation for Culture and Diversity for Greenville and Wesley United Methodist Church. The 90-minute seminar, which also deals with analyzing and understanding systematic racism, is free and is scheduled for 7 pm at Wesley United Methodist Church.

The meeting is designed to provide area residents a deeper understanding of the definition and exposure to the analysis of racism in the community.
