AUSTIN - Upon further review, The Texas Education Agency has determined the accountability rating for Dodd City ISD in Fannin County is in fact exemplary.
The district had appealed the recognized rating they received in July after administrators discovered errors with the commended performance scores of economically disadvantaged students in mathematics. They say that six students within the group were not counted but should have been.
The move to exemplary status marks the fourth consecutive year the district received the high mark and joins only 64 other Texas districts to achieve the status. Lone Oak was the only other area district as a whole to be rated exemplary.
