– As Tuesday marks the opening of dove hunting season in Texas, hunters should be aware of some changes to the season.
Instead of having a straight 60 day season, it will be a split season. The season will run from September first to October 25th. Then after a break, it will start up again in December and go until January 9th.
Dove is the first hunting season of the year and is traditionally seen as the kick off to the fall and winter wild game season.
