Downtown Paris businesses receive TDA Awards

Not one, but two downtown Paris businesses were presented awards at the Texas Downtown Association conference held this week in Waxahachie, Texas. As 2015 President Award Winners – Paris Baby was selected as Best Downtown Partner, and 107 Beer Garden received Best New Construction in a historic district.

They each earned the People’s Choice Award. They were submitted by City of Paris Main Street.

“We are so proud of our downtown businesses in the City of Paris,” said Cheri Bedford, Main Street Coordinator for the City of Paris. “This is very cool, and we are tickled to be able to represent.”

The businesses were among others from across the state of Texas with a population under 50,000. Paris Baby, which is located at 134 South Main, is owned by Tabitha Baxter-Blackburn and Melissa Steinkamp-Gordon, who were present at the conference and receiving for 107, which is located at 107 Grand Avenue, was owner Sherrie Holbert.

Others in the East Texas area were Best Commercial Interior given to Monk’s Oven located at 204 Market Street in Winnsboro.
