Dozens attend university anti-bullying seminar

MESQUITE - As the spring semester winds down, individuals throughout the State of Texas are undergoing training in the battle against bullying and suicide.

Faculty in the College of Education and Human Services at Texas A&M University-Commerce have been providing workshop attendees with a certificate of completion in accordance with a new state law which requires all teachers, nurses, social workers, etc. to go through such training.   

Workshops have been conducted on campus; and on Friday morning, an overflow crowd of more than 70 were present at a workshop at the A&M-Commerce Metroplex Center in Mesquite, according to Dr. Brent Mangus, College of Education and Human Services dean.
