HUNT COUNTY - State Troopers were led on a high speed chase early Friday morning beginning near Lone Oak after a man reportedly stole a car in Van Zandt County.
A DPS dispatcher tells KETR that the chase began at around midnight and that the suspect was still at large as of 8 a.m. A manhunt was underway after authorities gave chase along Hwy 69 north through Greenville, down Hwy 380 and then to Interstate 30.
The suspect bailed from the vehicle near Caddo Mills at the 89 mile marker and fled on foot. Dogs from the prison in Bonham have been brought in to aid in the search.
