Drought lifted

Hunt County – Heavy rains early this year have led to the lifting of drought status for Hunt County. Now, the county is just listed as abnormally dry, which signifies low lake levels in area reservoirs.

Heavy rains in February and March help bring some much-needed moisture to the area. The rains prompted the severe and extreme drought conditions Hunt County had been under for nearly a year to be lifted.
