Commerce – A traffic stop along I-30 just east of Sulphur Springs Saturday ended with state troopers making a sizeable drug bust. A Dallas couple was arrested after troopers found 4 pounds of cocaine, PCP, ecstasy, and marijuana in their Chevy Suburban.
52 year old passenger Sherrie Yvonne Rhodes and 25 year old driver Sedrick Daron McGhee gave conflicting stories about their trip. That, and an odor police thought to be raw marijuana gave probable cause for a search that turned up 4 pounds of cocaine, 7 vials of PCP, 21 grams of ecstasy, and an undisclosed amount of marijuana.
Both were charged with four felony possession counts.
