Commerce – Commerce Police have made eight arrests following execution of a narcotics search warrant Monday. The bust occurred at a home along Williams Drive, where officers located four bags containing a substance believed to be cocaine.
Ten people were inside the house at the time, including a 14 year old and six year old. Both children were released to family members, while seven males and one female were arrested. A large amount of cash, three firearms and several prescription drugs were also found inside the residence.
The search warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation into drug trafficking in the Commerce area. Commerce PD was assisted by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Police Department in the raid. In a press release issued by Commerce Police, Department official's say, If you sell drugs in Commerce, you will be caught.
