Early voting remains low

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Only a fraction of voters have participated to date in a local rollback election. 99 votes were received Friday for the Nov. 4 Greenville Independent School District property tax rollback election. That still represents only about 2.8 percent of the city's slightly more than 17,000 registered voters. The election is to decide whether the district must reduce its property tax rate by six cents per $100 valuation for the coming year. Last day for early voting is Tuesday.
