COMO - Dr. Kay Handlin has been named the lone finalist for the position of superintendent at Como-Pickton Consolidated ISD.
The board made the announcement during last nights’ meeting. Handlin is currently the assistant superintendent at the Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD. She will replace retiring superintendent Sandra Billodeau, who announced that she'll be stepping down in February.
The district is required by law to wait 21 days following the announcement, before making the selection official.
C-P CISD Board President Shawn Carpenter told the Front Porch News Texas that the district is delighted to announce that Dr. Handlin met their qualifications that best met the needs of the community, based on the input received.
