EF0 Tornado Confirmed for Fannin County

After a storm system moved through the area Wednesday, communities in Fannin county are picking up the pieces after an EF-0 tornado ripped through the county.

Multiple storms moved through North Texas on Wednesday night bringing large hail and very high winds to multiple areas across the region. While all of the storms were recorded as severe, none were thought to be tornadic, until now.

After an investigation of damage done to homes and businesses in Fannin County on Thursday, the National Weather Service confirmed a brief EF-0 tornado touched down near Randolph and Leonard causing structural damage, and injuring residents.According to WFAA, among the injured was a 70 year-old woman who clung to two cabinets in her house. She suffered a broken collar bone.
