With early voting finished, it has come down to the last days until Election Day, May 9. There are 3,620 registered voters in Delta County. Each of these voters may cast their vote on the election to legalize the sale of beer and wine for off-premises only in Delta County, Texas.
According to Delta County Clerk Jane Jones the walk-in early votes are at 340 with 16 mail-in ballots as of Tuesday. This number is up 190 votes from just last Thursday. All County registered voters may vote on this day at their regular polling locations.
However the heated battle “for” and “against” the sale of alcohol is not the only election happening.
The City of Cooper, City of Pecan Gap and Cooper ISD each have open positions in separate elections also on May 9.
