By Brad Kellar

Emory – A federal indictment is issued in the recent robbery of an Emory Bank.

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas has indicted Freddy Lee Criss, of Dallas, for his alleged robbery of the First National Bank of Emory last week.

Criss was arrested just south of Greenville a short time after the robbery, following a brief pursuit along US Highway 69. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hunt County Jail, where he was arraigned on one count of aggravated robbery and had a $500,000 bond set. Criss was then transferred and booked into the Rains County Jail.

The cash taken in the robbery was recovered, no injuries were reported.
