Former Commerce City Police Chief Kerry Crews says he is running for Justice of the Peace in Hunt County Precinct 2 this November.
Crews now serves as a special assistant to Commerce City Manager Derek Farrell. He stepped down as chief of police in July following an incident involving a Texas A&M University-Commerce student and a Commerce ISD board member, who also stepped down following the incident.
