Officers with the Greenville Police Department are interviewing a juvenile suspect regarding a threat that was made on Facebook.Greenville Police Department statement follows:

On May 9, 2013, the Greenville Police Department (GPD) was advised about a threat made through Facebook. GPD began an investigation and began attempting to locate the individual who posted the threat on Facebook.  The Greenville Independent School District was made aware of the threat and made a decision to do an external lockdown of the schools.

The threat read: “Bo! Tomorrow is Gonna Make Greenville infamous its like 200 Pending Deaths Tomorrow” #R.I.P.

This threat has since been removed from Facebook and a subsequent post indicated the threat was a joke.

The grandfather of the suspect brought the juvenile to the Greenville Police Department, where the juvenile is currently being interviewed by police officers.
