Commerce – Construction on the New City Hall and Fire/Police Station in Commerce is still on target for September completion. The Commerce City Council received a monthly update from General Contractor Harrison, Walker, and Harper in regular session last night. Brick is expected to begin being installed on City Hall by the end of this week or early next week, with brickwork on the Fire/Police Complex beginning in about two weeks.
In all, construction was said to be behind by about 9 days because of weather days taken, a number that was said to be normal and expected, and should not significantly delay and construction milestones for the facilities.
