Facilties construction begins in Commerce

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce –

Dirt work has already begun and surveyors have been examining the property for the new city facilities in Commerce. Construction Superintendent Leonard Autry has been on site and met with city staff to go over the timeline and other details for the construction of the new city hall and the new fire and police facility. The buildings will be built concurrently and will both have the same target date for completion.

The timeline is 9 months for construction. That sets June of next year as the month the new facilities in Commerce should open.
