Familiar ballot item to appear before Bonham voters

BONHAM - The Bonham ISD Board may consider asking voters once again to approve a school bond issue by placing the item on the May ballot.

A special meeting is scheduled for noon Friday, where trustees will discuss and possibly act on a cost assessment for renovations and additions to the I.W. Evans campus. The board will receive information from Pogue Construction and Huckabee Architects. The board will then review and discuss tax rate scenarios related to a possible bond election for the purposed renovations and additions.

Last November, voters failed to approve a $27.1 million bond for improvements to both I. W. Evans and Bonham High School.
