By Scott Harvey

Bonham – A recent joint operation between the Bonham Police Department and Fannin County Sheriff's office results in 14 arrests.

According to a release by the Bonham Police Department, all defendants were charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Those charged range in age from 21 to 57. Most of the cases, a total of 27 felony deliveries, dealt with the sale of methamphetamine and crack cocaine. All but four suspects are said to have been arrested.

In addition, one of the main drug suppliers to the Bonham area was identified and arrested in Dallas with the assistance of the Dallas SWAT and Dallas Narcotics teams.

Bonham Police Chief Mike Bankston is quoted in the release as saying: Hopefully this operation will have a dramatic impact on the narcotics activity in Bonham and Fannin County, as both agencies continue to work together to stem the flow of drugs in our community.
