Fannin County receives new three year EMS deal
By Scott Harvey
BONHAM - The Bonham City Council has renewed its agreement to provide emergency medical services to Fannin County.
Tuesday’s approval came after the contract had been delayed on two previous attempts, North Texas E-News reports. The three year deal will cost the county $10,000 less than they paid last year, at $540,000 annually.
The council’s amendment to the contract means Fannin County Commissioners will need to meet for a vote, presumably at their next meeting on May 7.
E-News says top officials both with the city and county had expressed a strong desire to establish a long-term EMS contract.
