SULPHUR SPRINGS - A 28-year-old Sulphur Springs man was killed Sunday after reportedly crashing his vehicle outside of Ocean Spray.
Tony G. Swindell was ejected from his vehicle, landing in the parking lot of the business. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene just before 3 a.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, Swindell was travelling west on East Industrial Drive when his vehicle left the roadway on the right. He is then believed to have overcorrected, flipping the car and striking two other parked vehicles before stopping.
Police say then don’t think Swindell was wearing a seat belt.
