Paris – The Paris City Council Monday evening may ask for the resignation of City Manager Kevin Carruth.
As part of Monday's executive session, council is to evaluate and discuss the retention, suspension or termination of the city manager.
Two weeks ago, council voted 4-3 to begin the process to terminate Carruth. The city attorney was assigned to draft a resolution to suspend Carruth for what was described as a failure to comply with contractual obligations, deficient performance and failure to comply with established policies and procedures.
Carruth is the sixth city manager to hold the position since 2004.
