Greenville & Sulphur Springs, TX –

Congratulations to all the winners at festivals Saturday in Greenville and Sulphur Springs.

Rally Around Greenville included the Lions Club Mini Grand Prix and the Cotton Patch Bicycle Classic.

The 37th Hopkins County Fall Festival Soup Contest brought out 121 contestants, a record, who fed a crowd estimated at 5,000.

Don't forget the festivals continue this weekend as Commerce hosts the 22nd annual Bois d'Arc Bash beginning Friday night and continuing all day Saturday and Sunday on the downtown square.

The host of KETR's Notably Texan music program, Matt Meinke, has produced a series of interviews with some of the bands performing at the Bois d'Arc Bash. You can hear those interviews on KETR weekdays at 8:35 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 5:07 p.m., and 9:55 p.m. And come by the KETR booth Saturday from the square.
