Greenville – It was the third vote to grant a 25 year franchise to Lufkin-based Greenville Energy LLC and Southern Renewable Energy LP.
The company wants to build a 67 megawatt, $105 million electric generating plant as a clean energy facility.
Provided that air and water permits, plus financing is obtained, construction could begin as early as January with the plant opening by June 2012.
