Finalists interviewed for Greenville Fire Chief

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – The naming of Greenville's next fire chief seems to be just around the corner.

The five finalists, who were named last week, were guests of honor during a dinner in Greenville Tuesday night, which followed the regular Council meeting. The finalists have been undergoing interviews this week, although there was no word Tuesday evening as to who might be in line for the job.

Among the candidates being considered are Interim Greenville Fire Chief Doug Caison; Greg Allen, chief of the fire department in Coffeyville, Kan.; Sean Douglas, assistant fire chief in Warrensburg, Mo.; Pat Ekiss, fire chief in Forest Hill, Texas and Steve Moody, fire chief for the city of Leavenworth, Kan.

The sole finalist will be replacing former Greenville Fire Chief Raul Reyes Jr., who was hired in April of last year and resigned in October.
