By Brad Kellar

Greenville – The Greenville firefighter squad is hosting and competing this weekend against some of the best in the world.

A regional round of the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge, hosted by Greenville's Team RackSolutions, is scheduled at the City's Sportspark Friday night and Saturday morning.

Greenville Fire Chief Doug Caison says several of the biggest names in the game will be participating, including the reigning World Individual's Champion with the Waterloo Fire Department in Canada.

Other teams competing against Greenville include teams from San Angelo, McKinney and Jackson, Mississippi.

Admission is free to the event, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Friday and again at 10 a.m. Saturday.
