Commerce – The City of Commerce begins the first of five budget workshops Thursday evening in the Executive Conference Room at City Hall, 1119 Alamo St. All meetings will start at 6:00 p.m.
On Thursday, July 23 officials will discuss general fund revenue projections, police and emergency management.
On the agenda for Monday, July 27 is fire, utility fund revenue projections, public works, public utilities and dept service - general fund and utility fund.
For Thursday, August 6, the parks and recreation department will be discussed, along with community development and municipal court.
A budget workshop for the city manager, governmental affairs, city council and administrative services will be held on Monday, August 10.
For Thursday, August 13 the city will address the library, all non-profit organizations, its hotel/motel tax, and the 4A economic development corporation.
All meetings are open to the public.
