First Up For New Yahoo-ABC News Venture: Obama Interview

Linda Holmes over at Monkey See will be looking at the pluses, minuses and other issues related to the news that Yahoo and ABC News are launching "a strategic online news alliance."

For now, we'll pass on word that the first big joint production for the new partners is set for 2:35 p.m. ET, when Good Morning America co-host George Stephanopoulos interviews President Obama. It's due to be webcast on Yahoo.com and ABCNews.com and Stephanopoulos will be "drawing on questions posed by readers of Yahoo! and ABCNew.com."

Update at 10:45 a.m. ET. Linda's post is up. In it, she writes that:

"More than selling the partnership itself, the two companies are focused on the new online content produced especially for this purpose that will be available through Yahoo's "global technology platform." In addition to the Newsmakers series that will debut with the Stephanopoulos-Obama interview, there will be an online series with Christine Amanpour and one with Bill Weir, Nightline's co-anchor, focusing on technology and innovation."
