For all those who are still dragging a bit from the recent time change, and are wondering why we do this to ourselves despite increasing claims that the practice is bad for our bodies and isn’t even good for the economy, State Rep. Dan Flynn (R-Canton) has a bill for you.

Flynn has introduced legislation that would drop Texas’ participation in daylight saving time, starting on Sept. 1. House Bill 150 is scheduled to be discussed by the Texas House's Government Transparency & Operation committee on the morning of Wed., March 11.

Flynn says that the bill will be "a benefit to many including mothers who do not want to put their kids on the bus stop when it is dark and put them to bed when it is light."
