Former Commerce man arrested for aggravated robbery

By Scott Harvey

Commerce, Sulphur Springs – A former Commerce resident is arrested for the alleged armed robbery of a Sulphur Springs convenience store last November.

21-year-old Quintis Lavance Weatherall, now of Kingsville, is being held without bond in the Kleburg County jail awaiting transport to Hopkins County.

The holdup is said to have occurred at the EZ-Mart on November 16, 2008. Detectives with the Sulphur Springs Police Department and Texas Rangers arrested Weatherall on Monday.

No other suspects are sought in the case as Weatherall is thought to have acted alone during the course of the crime.
