Former cop busted in Bonham

Bonham – A former Denison Police officer and current Bonham resident has been arrested for possession with intent to distribute the methamphetamine, ICE. 37-year-old David Wayne Stanley was taken into custody yesterday as Bonham Police and the Fannin County Sheriff's office assisted the DEA in serving a warrant that charged Stanley with conspiracy to distribute or possess with the intent to distribute or dispense methamphetamine. At the time of the arrest, Stanley was in possession of what is described by police as a large amount of the methamphetamine, ICE. He will be held in the custody of the Federal Marshall Service pending an appearance in U.S. District Court in Sherman.
