Former Mt. Pleasant Marine killed in bar fight

Pittsburg – A Daingerfield man is charged with murder in connection to a stabbing in the parking lot of a Pittsburg bar.

21-year-old Lannon Mackey Smoak is being held without bond in the Camp County jail for the murder of 23-year-old William Ashley Domino, of Mt. Pleasant.

The former Marine, who had just graduated from the East Texas police academy, was found with stab wounds to the neck and side after a fight erupted inside Cowboy Jims Bar on Highway 11.

Smoak later turned himself in to Hughes Springs police officers.
