Honey Grove – A former Honey Grove teacher is out on bond after her arrest for an improper relationship with a 14-year-old student.
27-year-old Jordan Lane resigned after the investigation. She was taken into custody last Wednesday.
According to Honey Grove Police Chief Mark Johnson, the alleged misconduct did not happen on school property or during school hours. Authorities are still working to determine if Lane will be charged with one count of having an improper relationship or several counts of aggravated sexual assault.
A statement from Honey Grove ISD Superintendent Jeff Clark said school officials are cooperating fully with law enforcement, and taking every measure to assure the safety of all students.
